The stone was chosen by the Findlay family and transported from the Lake
District down to Henley where my lettering was carved at AFJones. The
stone then made its way down Loddon Drive to Jill’s garden at Man’s
Reach: a lovely setting for Robert Browning’s words. My “payment”
was one of Jill’s quilts that I shall treasure. (February
